The Downfall of Christianity
There's amazing history in the making. We are at a crossroads in American history. As the world is a diversified culture, it embraced and supported Barak Obama, as the 44th President of the United States of America, the world's most powerful country to date (yet I'm not so sure how long that will remain).
Obama was celebrated because he represented a breath of fresh air over the Catholic driven religious right that was the Bush Administration and seemed more reasonable in the issues that truly represent the 21st Century. Obama brings us modern thinking and a true representation of the separation of Church vs. State. He's removed religious symbols from the White House, supported issues the Catholic Church does not, like Stem Cell research and abortion . He truly is a vanguard for the modern thinker.
He also, truly is a messenger of change. Change that means that the rest of the world will finally be respected. Over-bloated Christian beliefs that stifle America's founding beliefs will finally be curtailed. No longer does one feel the Bush oppression. But this is not a political statement. It's a humanist statement. In fact the best and truest statement ever said by Obama himself was "We are not a nation of Christians". Technically, as a nation, America, standing for the land of freedom also basically supported prejudiced thought processes. The "American Way" seemed to mostly mean that you could be a proud American as long as you pray to the same Christian god. This is bad. This was bigotry against Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Wiccans, Agnostics, Atheists, Satanists and more. This coming from a country that supported the freedom of religion.
We are now at possibly the best time in our lives. Without that oppression of the prior Administration , what we get in return is true freedom of choice. The choice to explore other faiths for starters. The freedoms to practice our varying faiths that make America great. The choice to look at the world through it's multicultural eyes. This site gets more hits from Europe than it does Americans. That's sad how blinded we've become.
Surveys show the reasons the Catholic Church loses members:
I'm going to quote the Norwich Bulletin:
"Many people who leave the Catholic Church do so for religious reasons; two-thirds of former Catholics who have become unaffiliated say they left the Catholic faith because they stopped believing in its teachings, as do half of former Catholics who are now Protestant.
Fewer than 3-in-10 former Catholics, however, say the clergy sexual abuse scandal factored into their decision to leave Catholicism."
This is a new era. An truly Epical era. Our views can now flourish and grow and we no longer have to feel dirty about our thoughts and beliefs. These are the decades to come where one can be proud to live as an Epicalist. Now is the time to becomes vanguards and herald our way into this 21st Century.
Congratulations Epicans. You are free at last... Free at last... Thank Obama, you're free at last.

What kind of "Superhero" can you be?
I like to observe people. That's what I do. I watch them. I try to envision what makes them tick. What makes them do what they do, look how they look , be who they are. What situations or circumstances brought them to each crossroad of their lives. Why did they let themselves go? Why do they strive so hard for perfection? Why do they settle for the middle of the road or celebrate mediocrity? Each individual is different. That's what makes them great, but the greater individual is the "character". The Character is the one who creates a definitive identity. Those are the ones that can be their own superheroes.
I stare at people and wonder not only if they could be their own Superhero or Antihero or even a Supervillain, but just what character is inherent in them that could bring forth such a result.
Some people have the personality or desire to create or become a character. Those are the ones that muddle through life without the thought of doing or being great at anytime in their life. Mainly this is due to low self esteem. They've never take the time to try to empower themselves because they always think that "good things like that happen to OTHER people." They think that it's "not in the cards" and they choose to let life be represented by a stampeding crowd that runs them over and think it's because they were designed to be the rug.
What you do in life, is controlled more by you than you think. I have one friend who is handicapped, yet on occasion, he gets hurt. He has a lawyer on speed dial who is now on his way to winning my friend his third settlement over six figures. I have yet another friend who has a case where she could be awarded millions (yes... I said MILLIONS) of dollars, yet can't get it in her head that she was wronged to the point of entitlement and actually DESERVES to be awarded that much.
It comes down to self awareness. Does your character, your personage actually DESERVE the best things that life can throw you? Well, the difference between those who have what they want and those that don't is truly belief. Believe that you can be what and who you want to be or at least that you DESERVE better, and you can achieve that.
Can anyone be a Superbeing? That's truly up to you. As previously stated on this site, it's all about you and what gifts you were able cultivate. When I see someone who's doesn't appear to have the potential, I try to see deeper into themselves than I think they would for themselves. Maybe they're a telepath but now introvert because of lowered self esteem. I feel sad for them with the thought that they let self esteem lock up a potentially powerful gift. Don't judge, convict and condemn yourself until you've gone through that "personal inventory" of every ability you believe you have. That's exactly how people waste their potential.
I don't look at a homely woman with graying hair and warts who's overweight and say "what a shame", however I look at her and imagine that in private...in her "secret identity", it's possible that she's a powerful mystic, or of superior intellect to create or design or craft something amazing. I look beneath the surface to find their inner super ability. This is what you must do with yourself if you're to challenge what's been thrown you.
Find the powers within you. Gain your "character" first and build on that.
Like the USA cable network says in their advertising campaign : "Characters Welcome".

The hypocrisy of the reborn.
Ah...Christian Hypocricy.
Why is it, the worst Christians are the born again types? Worse than ex-smokers, they preach like they're life experts who've solved the worlds crisis with a blank form known as "salvation". I know of a banking process called a "suspension". In a check reconciliation department, it's an area of a bank where they add up and process checks, comparing them to a ledger that reports these inbound documents . Now some checks get lost or damaged that the magnetic codes are mangled or have the wrong amounts on them and must be sought after and found and corrected. Now to keep the worlds of commerce moving, sometimes they throw in a dummy ticket to represent the check until the investigation is complete and that dummy check is called a "suspense ticket". This doesn't mean they found the money... It just means they put in a dummy to take it's place.
This is how these Christians explain their "happiness in the Lord". Suddenly they find great happiness in blind faith. They'll say "I was once just like you." Here's a hint. Most cults start with that sentence. They begin to tell you how you and they are the same and how you can find salvation as they did. However, they give you "suspense tickets" as to what the salvation is and how they got it. They say they found it in the Lord. Did he drop it out of the sky in a United Nations Air Drop? They say they found it in the bible. Where is the proof, in that old book of hear-say, that anything factual actually went on? What's funny is that I came from where these people have just arrived. I was once "god fearing" and all that before I became endarkened. I started young as my parents wished. I went to the churches, I read the "good" book, sang the songs, prayed the prayers and I had "the faith". The prayers were never answered, the songs brought empty joy, the book had too many holes in it's tales.
Another classic Christian hypocrite is the one who "believes in God", yet will do anything else to get the job done. Hypocrisy runs rampant with them too. I know a woman who runs screaming when the thought of the occult comes up, yet when she wants the love of a man and her god won't give it to her, she ask me to "cast a love spell" for her. When she felt she was given cursed items, she asked me to cleanse them. I told her how to do it herself, but not without asking why her god didn't do it for her? Why didn't she just go to the church and tell her priest or have him bless them? Not that that would necessarily lift said curse, but the point is, she never even considered it and yet she claims to walk as a servant of her god. All the while she conducts fetish acts, sleeps with various men, keeps unscrupulous company...yet can not be turned from her god. Her devotion to this god is wonderful. If I could I would give her a million dollars the day she actually contacted said "god" and he actually does something I can see.
I find Christian ministers and priests amusing. On the one hand, they denounce the forces of nature and the mystic arts be they black white or gray, and yet in their own right, they act as magicians themselves. Technically, Catholic priests act very close in practice to occult priests. They use imagery with a wafer and wine to represent what would be termed an act of voodoo cannibalism, they wear black clothes by day, chant and ask for things in prayer in almost a spellcasting fashion...and yet they attack others for doing the same. They do this because others are doing it to any god but theirs. It's like politics. They all not only support their candidate, they want to brainwash you to do it too!
I notice mostly the way they, the Christians and other "god fearing" religious groups, beat you into a submissive state. You are not allowed to be a Master or Mistress. You are a sheep in a flock. You blindly follow with the unproven reward after death. You allegedly have "free will" but must give it up to serve their great god who allegedly gave it to them in the first place. How many more acts of hypocrisy must be pointed out?
Were ye Epicalist, your will and your choices are your own. You command your destiny. You do whatever you humanly feel comfortable with. You answer to yourself. You are responsible for your own actions and lastly, you get to have fun at it! Remember the credo still stands. It's your script for your movie to write and star in. Live it up a little. For in the here and the now, for the blatant facts of it all; you only get one shot at this life. Don't live for an afterlife that may never be that you truly have no choice on the outcome.
Remember, some think in the afterlife, you get 7 virgins, others say pearly gates, others say you get your own idea of paradise yet there is no definitive answer. Why not stick with what's tangible and proven which is this moment, this lifetime.
